  • How does it work?


When the Outdoor Bark Control is within range of a barking dog, an internal microphone picks up the sound, and the unit is automatically activated emitting an ultrasound than can be heard by dogs but silent to humans. When the dog stops barking the ultrasound also stops.

No, it is completely silent to human ears.



  • Will it harm my dog?


No, it is humane and effective, quiet enough that even the most sensitive of dogs won't be bothered by it, but loud enough to deter any excessive barking.



  • Is it waterproof?


Yes, it is waterproof and durable for outdoor use.







  • Is it effective in all dogs?


The product may not work on deaf or hearing impaired dogs.



  • What distance does it cover?


It detects barking and sends the ultrasound up to 50 feet.







  • What are the 4 modes of operation?




Test Mode - T → Used to verify the microphone and speaker are functional. Do not use this mode for normal operation.


Low Range -  1 → Short distance monitoring - Covers up to 15 feet.


Medium Range - 2 → Medium distance monitoring - Covers up to 30 feet.


High Range - 3 → Long-distance monitoring - Covers up to 50 feet.







  • What do the Green and Red lights mean?


The 2-color LED indicator show good or low battery:


Green LED → Good battery (1 flash every 5 seconds)

Red LED → Low battery (3 flashes every 5 seconds). When emitting the ultrasound the Red light is solid.


If there are no LED lights, it is time to change the battery. 



  • What batteries does it use?


It uses a replaceable 9-volt battery (not included in the package). Insert the battery on the back of the unit.






  • How long does the battery last?


The average battery life is 2 months, depending on how often the dog barks.



  • How do I install it?


The unit should be placed facing the dog and within range of the dog. 


It is designed with provisions for hanging or it can also stand alone and should be positioned at a height of no more than 5 feet. 


It can be placed in a tree, hanging from a pole, on a fence post, etc. 


For best results, the area between the outdoor Bark control and the dog should be free of any large obstacles.
