How to start?
Important notes:
*After the battery insulation film has been removed, the device will be ready for pairing with your smartphone.
*The device is powered by rechargeable lithium batteries. With fully charged, the battery life is approx six months of standby mode.
* Motion detection can sometimes false alerts because of large heat sources such as cars, the rising or setting sun or reflections off a shiny object. Please install the video doorbell in a place to avoid the sun.
* Not fully waterproof, please install it in the area without rain.
*The Wireless Video Doorbell supports WIFI 2.4GHz, DOES NOT support WIFI 5GHz.
*In a crowded environment, it is recommended to close or set the device to low sensitivity to reduce device arousal and call times to extend battery life.
Setup Device
Step one: Download the App! Open the App Store (for iOS) or the Google Play Store (for Android) on your mobile services. Search for „XSH cam“ or scan the following QR Code to download and install it to your device.
Step two: Select Wi-Fi - Please enter your Wi-Fi name and Wi-Fi Password- Tap Next.
Search Device - Please power on the device, and you will be able to hear a voice prompt „The camera is now ready to begin pairing“.
If you didn’t hear the voice prompt, press and hold the reset button for 5 seconds. Release after the LED indicator turned off, and the device will restart to configure automatically.
Step four: Tap Add device
After a successful connection, you will be prompted to create a name and password for your camera. The password must be at least 8 characters and include an uppercase letter, a lower-case letter, and a number, the name is completely at your choice.
Setup completed! The APP will be entered the device list interface automatically. Congratulations! The device is ready to use.
Settings
Once you have everything installed, and you tap on the XSH cam app, you will enter the Device section.
In the Device list section, please click the settings icon which is at the top right corner to enter the device settings.

Accept call- You will have three different selections within this feature:
Silence- Tap this button if you do not wish to receive the notification on your phone that someone rang the bell
Notification- Tap this button if you wish to receive the notification on your phone that someone rang the bell
Call in- Each time someone rings the bell, your phone will ring the same way as if someone is calling you. If you decide to “take the call”, you will be taken to live view and you will be able to see who’s at your door, like in an image below
Tap to take a photo of the event
Live 2-way speech; Tap the microphone if you wish to have verbal correspondence with the visitor
Tap to make the video recording of the event
Share QR code
Send the QR code to share the device with your friends and family or someone that you want to share.
Cloud Storage
Cloud storage Description: When the Device is in the sleep state when the PIR is triggered or the doorbell button was pressed, the device will automatically upload 10 seconds of video to the cloud. Each device can record 20 events per day, and provide a week of loop recording space and Traffic for users.
Tap the trash bin icon if you wish to delete the recording. Tap the calendar icon in the upper right corner and select the date to see all the cloud videos for the selected date
Remove
The mobile device will not receive the notifications after you delete the camera. But the camera still works and the other connected mobile devices still able to receive the notifications.
In the Device list section, please click the camera icon which is at the top left corner to enter the live view.
At the bottom of the live view, you will be able to see the Menu which displays:
Album, Cloud storage, Cruise, Voice, Settings.
Album- Tap this icon to see all the snapshots or video recordings of the events you have saved
Cloud storage: Tap this icon to see the events that the device has captured
Cruise- the camera will zoom in and scroll left to right according to pre-set automatic patrol paths
Voice- Use this icon to enable or disable voice recording
Settings- Tap this icon to enter device settings
Device settings:
SD card: Here you can select the type of storage space you want to use or the status of the available space. Within this feature, you will also be able to Format the SD card.
Orientation: Selections are Normal, Rotate, Mirror, and Mirror-Rotate
Environment: Selections are Normal, Backlight compensation, Night IR, Night light compensation, Dynamic
PIR detection: Selections are Disabled, Low, Medium, High. Disabled- Close the PIR function
- Low- The device will be able to wake up after the device detects humans for 7 seconds. The device starts to take videos and notifies the mobile device at the same time
- Medium- The device will be able to wake up after the device detects humans for 5 seconds. The device starts to take videos and notifies the mobile device at the same time
- High- The device will be able to wake up after the device detects humans for 7 seconds. The device starts to take videos and notifies the mobile device at the same time
***NOTE: In a crowded environment, it is recommended to close or set the device to low sensitivity to reduce device arousal and notification times to extend battery life.
Dormancy time: Selections are 15s, 30s, 60s, Not dormant. The dormancy time refers to: after the PIR has not detected the object, the doorbell will continue to work for a while. After this time, the doorbell will go to sleep and wait for the next wake-up. The “not dormant” state means that the camera will remain on working.
Power frequency: Selections are 50Hz, 60Hz

Wireless Chime (Optional)
Connect the video doorbell to the doorbell chime, and get an instant alert in your home when someone rings the doorbell. Hear the doorbell chime when you are at home, without checking your video doorbell app! The chime plugs into any wall outlet, you can place it anywhere in the home.
NOTICE:
The video doorbell is only compatible with our wireless chime, and not compatible with traditional doorbell chimes. The wireless chime is optional. If it is not installed, doorbell notifications will still go directly to the XSHcam app.
The Basics
Getting Started
Set up your chime with the video doorbell
STEP 1
Before the setup process, be sure your video doorbell has connected to your phone and plug in your chime.
STEP 2
Press the forward or back button to cycle through 55 different tunes and select a tune.
STEP 3
Press and hold the volume button for 5 seconds until the chime emits a Ding sound and the blue indicator flashes.
STEP 4
Press the doorbell button, the chime emits a Ding sound.
STEP 5
Press the doorbell button again, the chime will automatically play the tune you selected.
